Mr. O. J. Mathew has spent more than four decades devoted to design, planning, execution, testing and maintenance of air-conditioning, refrigeration, Clean Rooms and ventilation systems in Central Government Department and also in Private Organization, after retirement from Government service. Before retirement for Government service Mr. Mathew has served Indian Space Research Organization ( ISRO) for a period nearly three decades in different capacities. He retired from ISRO in 2002. At the time of his retirement he was functioning as Head of Air-conditioning and Mechanical Division of Construction Wing in Sriharikota.
During his service in ISRO he got lot of opportunities to get involved in major Projects related to Rocket manufacturing, Rocket fuel production and Satellite assemblies air-conditioning including establishing of different classes of Clean Rooms. He was responsible to accomplish air conditioning systems to meet the stringent conditions required for Satellite testing, rocket assemblies and rocket fuel production. Also, he functioned as Chairman and Member of different Technical Committees related to Test and evaluation and trouble shooting of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
After retirement from ISRO he has functioned as a Member of Standing Design Review Team for the realization of Air-conditioning and Clean Room Projects related to PSLV and GSLV in ISRO Sriharikota. Further, he worked as a consultant in HVAC Projects, Clean Rooms Projects etc. pertaining to Government and Private Establishments after retirement form Government service. |
